Portfolio Introduction Video
Summary: Portfolios are about showcasing skills, which is great, but a video that is focused on my skills and background, that shows my personality without them having to go through my entire website, I figured it was a win-win decision.

Color Palette for Video: From Portfolio Website- color swatches below
Avatar Creation
The Avatar needed to look like me, so I made the body shape similar to my own and the haircut as close as I could get it.

The clothing was a combination of the styling from the banner on my LinkedIn Page and my Portfolio website- bright pink, green, denim and blues.

Additional Avatars were created to act out the various conditions in the video.

The same or similar color palette was used.
Storyboarding
The storyboard was created in Microsoft Word as a chart. Click this button to be taken to the PDF of the complete storyboard.

The focus of the storyboard, at first, was the script and the overall structure, using the topics in the outline.
The main images came after the text and bridging scenes were added.
Video Production
I tested out a variety of ways to create the video- first the sound and then the images, and then another version was first the images and then the sound.

As the project evolved and I learned more about camera angles and bridging scenes, I did the overall images and the flow, then recorded the text with my own voice, and made adjustments to the images and length of time for each scene.
Sound Recording
The background music is at only 10% and is from the library in Vyond.
The text was recorded in Vyond with a headphone and microphone combination that was external to the computer.
Final Product
The introduction to the video starts with the same banner from LinkedIn, and with the Avatar jumping off the banner. Then the Avatar is driving a pink car from the left of the screen to the right of the screen to show that she is going to work.

The closing to the video is the Avatar walking from the left to the right of the scene to her pink car, again. The Avatar drives from the right of the screen to the left to show she is leaving work. The Avatar drives away and then the final scenes show the back of the pink car fading into the distance.
Take Aways
Once I got the hand of the program, Vyond was great to use! There are so many applications!

My design process is often stop and start. Finding the right images or way of showing something in Vyond might not be exactly like I imagined it during the initial planning or outlining phase, so adjustments had to be made as I went along. There are still things I want to change in the video, and may in the future, but for right now, I think I did pretty well.
